About The Gallery

MICHELLE THOMAS FINE ART GALLERY + STUDIO, 40 29th Street, San Francisco, California, 94110

Visit us at the intersection of Noe Valley, the Mission, and Bernal Heights. We feature new work addressing cultural intersections, margins, and collisions. The artists we present flout neat curatorial categories, often expressing rare poetic concerns or utilizing dissimilar materials to establish a singular aesthetic. We show art that expresses the artist's individual experience while reflecting relatable human sentiments—nostalgia, ecstasy, grace, grief, love—offering, as a baseline, intellectual stimulation and, at best, emotional catharsis.. Schedule an appointment to visit HERE.

April 6-July 10, view Hardy Hanson: There are Things to Come, featuring the artist's wall reliefs from 1978-2007. Hardy Hanson was a Bay Area icon devoted to reconciling the irony and hypocrisy of human institutions. He organizes and transforms ordinary objects—marbles, pins, medical gauze—to convey new meaning and amplify concerns about social provocation, corruption, and ecological crises.
